what we should be pulling

My dad's dogs had special carts and sleds for when they would do weight pulling, unfortunately i am a broke bike messenger and cant afford special carts what are some good things i can have tuck pull around the back yard? I was thinking some milk jugs with rocks to begin and moving on to tires anyother suggestions for when he gets stronger?

Tires are actually very hard to pull in grass. You could always go to walmart and buy plate weights, They drag easy and are relatively inexpensive, especially if you have a used sports goods store.
