Requirements

What are the requirements for a dog in weight pulling? Do they have to have certain registration like ADBA or AKC, UKC to be in a event?

AKC does not do weight pull

UKC and ADBA do and so do some other orgs.

To compete yes, the dog needs to be registered with the organization you want to compete in.

If the dog is not papered, both UKC and ADBA offer Limited registration programs. You can read up on that on their web sites

Hope that helps

IWPA = International Weight Pull Assocation
APA = American Pull Alliance

You do not have to be registered with them to pull

Patches mentioned Limited Registration, and with that the dog must be spayed &/or neutered to be able to get this regstration.
