Stumbled across this cursing youtube, and watching it...the first thing that came to my mind is why is that poor dog still alive?!
Personally I'm finding it cruel to keep the poor dog alive, constantly living in fear and lashing out at everything and everyone. But the people that own him however are another story.
I don't think it's fair to keep any animal alive that is so terrified of living that they can not function... and HA? NOPE. Not fair to the dog... or the person they he potentially mauls.
I'm not watching the video. I've had pit bulls long enough to know that Videos like this feed the fear mongers. Years ago when I first got into pit bulls they would've put an animal like this down I can only say that by some of the posts that have been made already that it is human aggressive.
This is an old episode from Dog Whisperer, I think. I remember watching this a couple years ago.
As for it being cruel, I think if you have the know-how and experience, then you should definitely try to work with the dog and get him past his fears. If you don't know what you're doing, then definitely bring in a trainer or behaviorist and give it your all. If, to no avail, you can't work him through it then by all means, ease his mind.

I'm so sick of everyone blaming their dog behavioral problems on dog fighting. People always say that shit when they have no clue of a dogs background and I find that extremely irritating. It's so stupid. OMG this dog has problems it must have been a dog fighting dog, that's just retarded!!!!

I agree. People act like these "dog fighters" are everywhere. Just like on CL adds when there's a pup up for adoption and they say "not for fighting". Seriously? A true dog fighter doesn't want ur mutt pup. Just sayin...
And about the OP. I do think that dog needs to be put down. I know they are tryin to be nice and humane and save him. But seriously, HA is not good. Even if it is fear based.

I hate that. I don't want to watch this such vedio of dog fighting. It's too cruel.
This video has nothing to do with dog fighting in any way shape or form.. Its a video about 2 female life partners that purchased a home together and when they got there. A pit bull was found chained and abandoned (abused) or what not and very fearful of everything and everyone.
Just to put the icing on the cake these two chicks ( one butch and the other more of the lipstick type ) think they can actually handle and train a dog that is behaving in a very aggressive manner towards people. Soon they found that they were unable to do such an called the help of Caesar Millian which it seemed he could not really do much with the animal as well.
To make a long as story short it is basically about a HA animal that should be put down.. lawl
