Im not looking for kind words, nor hate. Its not needed. Im looking for a simple answer. Let them keep him or me take him ? I never said im going to dump him,as someone suggested. I have 2 nephews under the age of 3,if he will come after me then its unpredictable .
Iv been attacked by two dogs before, and IMO HA dogs should be PTS if they cannot be rehabilitated !
Thats why I was willing to take him back after these years,he needs another chance where he wont get hit on all the time.

i thought that was why us taxpayers pay the salaries of these men who wear uniforms who are paid to handle situations like this.. if someone stole my dog i wouldnt just be calling ac.. the police and everyone would be involved and if all the people you say saw the abuse would confirm he was yours im sure someone wouldve done something!! you didnt care until you thought you were gonna get into over it!

You re the one who said the dog wonders into your yard. You not being able to catch him was conveniently left out til you were called on it. Don't blame how we read your posts. And your question has been asked an answered already. Not one of us would not go get our dog. Believe that.

You only care now because as you stated people still see the dog as your dog, not theirs and if the dog were to attack someone it would fall on you. My understanding is that you don't care about the dog, you only care about the repercussions for you now that the dog is a liability.
If you cared you would have raised hell to bring YOUR dog home 2 years ago and not let some shady neighbor steal what belonged to you and let it run rampant through the neighborhood.

Exactly how I read it. Chick needs to reread what she writes before getting panties bunched from responses.

Get over yourself! Don't come up on here to try and get people to feel sorry for you or justify what you've done. You are talking out of 2 sides of your mouth this whole conversation. Explain to me how "he kinda wanders now, they don't feed him much, and they renamed him Chester says that they put him in a building and that's why you couldn't get him back?? Not to mention you go on to say that you've had him the last 2 years they only fed him once. Hmmm doesn't fit together does it. I think the only truth in this whole story is that you are worried that this dog that you abandoned will bite somebody and the neighbors will say its your dog and you will get in trouble. So now you think you should probably catch it and have it put down to save your butt. That poor dog never had a chance. I think the best thing in this situation is for you to rehome the other dog you have so it doesn't end up in the same pitiful situation. You will get no kindness from me.

i do find it funny that u ask for opinions (good or bad) and then dont take the responses bad. i agree with Carrie. the vibe i got from reading ur first post was that u only care now cuz u dont want to get blamed for anything the dog does. if the "new owners" seriously beat the dog then AC needs to be called again and again. and at this point u r thinking the dog needs to be PTS so who cares if the shelter is a kill shelter.
ill be blunt, either get ur dog and quit whining or call the police/AC and pester them till they get ur dog. if i knew who took my dog i would be pounding on their door till the either opened it or the door falls off its hinges!
(on a side note, i dont think its that we dont understand your story, i think u dont know how to tell it very well.)
