The most terrifying part is the idea that the report is played off as unbiased journalism.
"Some people don't like it," said the reporter.
The policy coordinator of the animal shelter asked, "why?"
"Well, some people just don't," replies the hack journalist.
"Why?" she asks again, then they cut to a different clip.
While I agree the content of the report is garbage, I think the idea that reporting in that manner is allowed at all -- even worse that people give merit to that kind of gonzo reporting -- is shocking.
The news industry should report an event, interview a few people and leave it at that. Let the viewers develop their own opinions. Don't give a one sided report and spoon-feed people the opinion you want them to have. That's not journalism, propaganda.
