Gate jumping

I use a baby gate to block off certain areas of the house or if im cleaning I put bailey in the laundry room instead of the crate. But she has learned to jump them,so I stacked 2,and I accidentally broke one. Is there anyway to get her to stop jumping them?

Sounds like she needs some training. Teaching her to stay is a good start.check out the training section!

I agree. I have a gate jumper. I consistently put him back and said wait. Once he stayed on his own he got rewarded.

I've taught mine to Out and Wait. Wait was easy to teach using their food. I say wait go to put the food down and if they move I make that corrective sound we all know and bring the bowl back up. And just repeat. They are now to the point where I can say wait, set the bowl down and walk away. With Out, I did the Victoria Stilwell method. Out and point while blocking and pushing them back with your body. They caught on really quick. Once they are out of the room or area I then give the wait command. You may have to do the same rinse and repeat for them to grasp the whole concept, I know I did.

They lay under my feet while I do dishes and stuff so that's why I taught them out lol. Got tired of tripping over their fat heads.
