Annoyance with breeding just because....
The breeding just to breed REALLY annoys me(if this is in wrong spot I apologize!). I get asked constantly if I am going to breed Cain. Which I politely say no the first few times. But after so many my annoyance shows through I'm sure. One friend of ours asks my husband and I if we will breed Cain so he can get one of the puppies(because breeding your dog is so simple right?!O.o) and each time I tell him no he's getting neutered. I am not breeding my dog. This happens pretty much every other day or so.
We have another friend who wants to breed his mutt to "calm her down so she won't be so crazy!" To which I replied no spay her.
I guess I just needed to vent haha. I have never even CONSIDERED breeding my dog so asking isn't going to change my mind. But it amazes me how people bring it up like it is so simple. My dogs temperament is great so I should breed him. Very annoying.
Anyone else have these issues haha.

Mine isn't even home yet and I'm getting it. I've been asked about breeding her by my mother and all my friends. I wouldn't do it for a million dollars. Not only do I not know the first thing about breeding but I don't want the work involved with having a house full of puppies. One puppy is enough work I can't imagine a litter.
The breeder asked why we chose a female and if we wanted to breed. We said no and he said good because our puppies come on a spay/neuter contract. My friend says I should pick a less selfish breeder who lets us breed our dog. It never ends! I don't believe my breeder is selfish. I think he is responsible. He has the contract and he includes a health guarantee, temperament checks and a training session.

Yea I know nothing either. I doubt it will end for me until he is neutered! It's ridiculous family neighbors and friends all ask. I should just put a sign on him that says no breeding questions lol

I get asked all the time if I want to breed Ecko. Apparently blue is still "rare" around here. I say sure, let me know when. If they are too stupid to realize my dog has no nutts, then they aren't worth my frustration.

Haha that is funny! There aren't many blue colored dogs around here and people I've spoke with don't really care about color. I'm sure if he was blue I'd get some idiot though wanting to chat.

Blue is actually fairly common here with all the local idiots breeding for color. Ecko actually came from the local shelter. People just aren't used to seeing them healthy and walking around with a car insurance sales woman who has pants on that fit and owns her own home. LOL!

I just flag those idiots and move on. Their "rehoming" fee is usually over $100 and they aren't veted.
It's not as bad here as it is in the surounding areas, but most people think they know it all and don't want to hear the truth about their mix breed dog that has no papers and came from the pound, aka "pure" pit. I just sigh and drink more alcohol.

Around here they only go for 50-100 typically. 99% aren't papered. But like my friend who wants to breed his 7 month old mix to chill her out. I about slapped him. I told him spay and train. She's gonna be hyper if a you do is feed her and stick her on a tie out and don't do anything with her. His wife's response was puppies are messier than kittens. O.o

Well, at least his wife will try to prevent it.
Sometimes, people shouldn't be allowed to breed. Themselves or their pets.

I get it quite a bit with my 2 year old female and 4 month old male. Once people find out we have a male and female they ask if we are going to breed them (but they also then ask if they are related...cause they are both brindle!) First off Yumi is 2.5 and was spayed at 6 months...2nd...just no!

LMAO I have the ultimate funny moment...
So I had my "pit mix" Alexa out and exercising....well I saw her ears perk and looked and a door to door saleman actually happened to look over and see me....well i had ahold of her leash and thought he would just keep walking (keep in mind i am in my back yard...about 50 ft from the road) so he should have kept walking...but oh no he turns and walks THRU MY YARD...ugh so i put Alexa in her pen because she gets a little territorial....so he walks up and says "nice dogs" to which i say "thank you"....then comes the stupid..."oh is this a breeding pair".....(also keep in mind that my dogs are kept out in pens so he saw my boxer/lab mix and my pit mix)......i said "nope they are both fixed and mutts"...then he asked this..."oh do you have any pups inside??" WTH lmao....to which i just said no and tried to ignore him till he left.....then i died laughing

Oh my gosh. Lol it's like did you not just hear what I said??? I try to be as nice as possible when someone bugs me about it. But I have a short fuse(especially to our friend who knows I never have intentions to breed yet still asks).
