Help
My girlfriend and I just got a puppy about 8 weeks ago, she is now 13 weeks old and is one of the best things to come into our lives. I was wondering however if she is mixed with something besides pit. She is white with large brindle colored spots on her body. However as well as the large brindle spots she also has what looks like 'ticking' all over her, something similar to how a dalmatian gets spots. It seems like every day she gains more and more little ticks all over her. It seems to me like she may be colby bloodline mixed with something because of how her ears look and how tall she is compared to her body width. I will attach pictures of her so you can see, I was wondering if any of you could maybe tell me what she is in more detail because the breeders didnt have papers for her. I did see the mom however and she was blue all over with a white spot on her chest and thats it. However the dad was not around for me to see. Im not posting to get negative feedback about not being informed on the dog or made out to feel stupid so only positive informative feedback please!

Cute pup! Unfortunately there's really no way for you or anyone here to tell if/what she's mixed with without papers. We're parents registered? If they were you might be able to look them up online.

Jaxx was the same way. But its the opposite way around with him. We know his momma is 100% AmBulldog, but his father was described as AmStaff. I never seen the sire, so I have no idea what he's mixed with. He was solid white when he was a pup, minus the 2 black spots on his head. But as he grew his head got fatter, and he developed those spots everywhere. I like em though. It makes him his own dog!

Pit Bulls can have ticking. As for your pup, she is beautiful. If she was represented as purebred, she may well be. I wouldn't suspect her being anything other than a Pit Bull. But the default answer with situations like this -- no papers, breeder's word only, unknown heritage, etc. -- is that you will never know for certain. Are you still in touch with the breeder? Ask for a picture of the sire. Still not proof positive, but could help.

Pictures and DNA tests can't determine the bloodlines the only way to tell your dog is pure is if you got it from a reputable breeder. Cute pup but without papers it's a mutt like my boy is. I could not love by dog more and could care less if he is pure
