Fighting for this puppy

I am just so sad and upset at what AC did to my friend.

So my friend has this stupid room mate who is very neglectful with his dogs. Even though she put chain spots out in the yard he'll still let them off to just run around and fight

So she was at work and he had let his dogs off the chains and then went back inside

they jumped the fence and attacked the neighbors GDS so she called AC to come get them. As he walks out she tells him what happened and he chained them up real quick and took off, when he ran out he let her little 9 week old Catahoula Bulldog pup outside.
So AC shows up and talked with the lady and then tried to call the dogs over because the gate was locked. The AC office used treats to lure the puppy over to the fence and then leaned over and scooped him up and tried to use him as bait to lure the other dogs. Since they were chained he couldn't get them but he ended up taking the puppy. The lady had told him that the puppy was not involved and has never been on her property but her took him anyways. So when my friend got home she got a citation notice saying her "pit" attacked the neighbors GSD and they want like $150 from her after he's quarantined. The report says a pure white pit bull and a black and white pit bull were the only ones involved and her pup is blue Merle. That's such BS how would a 9 week old puppy be able to attack a full grown GSD that's stupid. So now I'm on a quest to help my friend get this puppy back. Since it happened on Friday and the AC office closed before she got off work we have to wait till Monday but were going to throw the biggest fit this little town has ever seen!! What that guy did was totally illegal and I'm determined to make him pay for this. Her three kids are heart broken, he just stole their Christmas present! That's just not right.

That pup couldn't hurt anything if he tried and he's just the sweetest little thing. Ugh this makes me so so mad. Grrrrrr!!!!!!

honestly if they did that to her, they ether have done it to others or will soon. I would suggest a lawyer if she has the funds, or contact some animal rights group to get one.

Yea it's BS and I've noticed they do super illegal stuff too. Like this dog a friends mom had. This was a mutt we found on the street and they stupid bitch at the pound sold him to a breeder in the next town over. Once she said lawyer they went and got him back. They're pretty shady, so are the cops here.

Yea he got arrested yesterday for something stupid so he'll be getting an eviction notice soon. Yea I couldn't believe it. And then to say he attacked another dog? The whole situation is ridiculous.

That's horrible. The idea of a puppy quarantined at the animal shelter makes me very uncomfortable. I would stomp that roommate's ass.

So what have they done yet? inaction will not make this better, make a police report of the theft of the dog and go to the media

Thank you again Lisa for being so helpful. We're heading down to the police station here in a minute and then from there were going to the Daily News office. Hopefully they'll print a story. If not I guess we can always buy a spot in the paper and tell the story ourselves. Wish is luck. Ill be back later to tell you all how it's going. Thanks again.

Update: Today went horribly

the cops wouldn't help us since she lives in the county so we have to talk with the sheriff and the sheriff is the AC officer

So she made the report we went down to the pound cause she wanted to check on him and the freaking got rid of him already. They said he's been adopted out and there's nothing we can do about it. They just wanted to argue and kept saying it wasn't an illegal seizure and the puppy was off the property and any dog at large can be taken. After talking with the lady who owns the GSD we found out she actually caught all this on her security camera. It shows him clapping his hands and calling the dog across the property and then leaning over the fence and picking him up and trying to use him as bait to get the other dogs to come closer. They just kept saying the sheriff wouldn't lie and were wrong and I told him cameras don't lie people lie!!!! They were then rude as shit and told us to leave and go take it up with the sheriff. Now there trying to put the whole dog fight on my friend and they're saying she's legally responsible for those dogs and the damage they caused. How can that be when the dogs are registered to her room mate? His name is on the shot records and licenses, he buys their food, and his name is on the rental agreement at the house the dogs live at. How can they say she's legally responsible for someone else's dogs? So she dropped me off at home cause I had to get my kid from school but she was on her way to the sheriffs office and it looks like we're going to need a lawyer. I freakin hate this town and how the cops and city officials think their above the law. It's illegal to have sawed off shotguns and yet the motorcycle cops gets to carry a sawed off shotgun on his bike. And they haven't even waited the legal amour of time before adopting him out. It seems like they just got rid of him real quick. I'm just at a loss right now. This is terrible. They stole her kids Christmas and now they want her to pay $600 for damages caused by dogs that she doesn't even own

Get the footage from the camera and call the news stations till one of them agrees to put the footage on the air. That's the last thing you could do.

Ok thanks Lisa. That's a great idea. I hope they do run a story so they could at the very least inform people that they don't care and think its ok to just steal dogs and charge you with crimes you didn't commit. Will they put a warrant out on her since she's refusing to pay the fines?
