my boys arent getting along

i have two 5 yr old pit males, both of which are intact. ive had these awesome guys since they were 8 weeks old. since 12/21 they have had 4 altercations, of course had to be physically seperated. thank god for someone being here other than just me. I am about at my wits end. I really have thought that i should get rid of Rexx(aggressor). Not what i want but i dont think its fair to Ecko to keep worrying about this. I feel terrible for him, he even cowers down when rexx starts growling. please help i need some advice on what to do

Have you researched the breed before you got them ? if so you would know dog aggression is common in this breed and comes into effect usually as they mature 1-2 years but can be anytime after or before as well. To get rid of a dog cause of soemthing it is bred to be , part of there genetic makeup is absurd to me. Another case of a home not suited for this breed yet still get them. 2 males does not help those odds of them getting along all the time either, I know here it is 2 males or 2 females where I see more altercations then say a male / female combo.
If you had altercations before and chose to ignore those signs then to me that is YOU setting them up to fail not them being bad. I would have crated them seperate and gone a crate rotate system with them the 1st time they got into it. They should NEVER be left out together to get into it again, especially if noone is home or if someone capable of dealing with it isnt home. If you insist on having them together again { I would not recommend this } then invest in a break stick or two and learn how to use it. DA { dog aggression} can be managed but never cured, I would not trust them with eachother or other dogs un supervised if I were you . This is a breed characturistic though and to punish them for this behaviour is not right. Hope you learn to deal with it as many of us on here with multiples do every day . I feel bad if one loses there home for doing nothing wrong.

It's very normal for this breed to have dog aggression. It's in their genetic make up, you can not train it out of them. However, it can be managed through training!

you will have to work with each dog on his focus. Search the forum in the training section about this...lots of great tips and tools.
Don't be upset at them, though I know it can be frustrating. Just like herding dogs have herding instincts, guarding dogs guard, hunting dogs hunt....dogs that were bred to fight will have that instinct. It's just the breed.
You could rehome one of them, but you could also do crate and rotate. A lot of us here have multiple dogs and they are crated and rotated. It's not big deal and fairly easy to get used to.

Normal and you're lucky they got along for this long. Separate them for life. It's called crate and rotate or make separate dogs runs for them. Those of us that have several dogs keep them separated.

i know a few cats that have had 2 males they might've had a few situations but nothing they couldn't control.its not the best thing but.there's a few things that matter if u spend time obedience training etc. but alot of times its hard to say b'cuz ,true they are bred for animal aggression.there is alot of factors u would have to consider.i have 2 males 3 and 4 lil squabbles here and there almost a crazy situation but it was handled,and put under control,

just closely observe them i wouldnt recommend getting rid of 1 of your boys.even if seperating comes into factor.
