how do i stop or slow down hair loss?

hi
Tank is still young @ the age of 1&1/2 but he is non stop sheding hair?
he is my third pitt and Tank has longer hair than my other 2 i owned
as they were normal very short haired pitts!

anyways he is still a short haired dog but he is always sheding ?

i live in AUSTRALIA and its summer but its more like our winter season right now non stop rain and so on "so its not like its hot?"

how often do you guys wash your dogs?

and since iv posted about washing how do you clean your dogs ears?
as i had them cleaned only once by the vet!

thank you

Well, right now it's winter for me. 17 degrees and snow and all that. So I only give Kane a bath about once a month if that because bathing too frequently can dry out the skin.

During the spring and summer, when it's warmer out (our spring is like your winter, I believe), I bathe him as he gets dirty, but try not to do it too much. Probably no more than once a week.

A good diet and fish oil would probably ease the shedding. But others on here might have a better idea.
What are you feeding him?
