Fever?

My puppy's tummy and body feels very warm. It leads me to believe she might have a fever? She's a rescue and I've had her for just over 48 hours. I haven't had her to the vet yet she will go Monday, also she's breathing very heavily. Can someone give me some advice?

can you take the temp and give us a number so we can tell you if it is a fever or not? feeling the belly wont tell you much. You need a rectal thermometer if you need instructions on how to take a temp just let us know.

I think I would have called the vet and seen if there was a way to get your dog in sooner. Describe what is going on. They may wish for you to come in sooner. Hopefully it is not anything major but you never know.

I got her in and nothing was wrong with her. She came from being outside constantly to almost always being inside unless she was going potty. Her body was adjusting to the temp change hence the abnormally warm belly. Thank you tho!! She's doing so much better now!!
