Hello there,
So my pup is now about 4 and a half months old and has a bit of an upset stomach since i got her from the kennel. When i got her at 6 weeks the kennel was feeding her the costco kirkland food and she came with straight diarrhea. That same day the vet checked her out and gave her a 5 day medicine along with the recommendation of this food: Purina Veterinary Diets® EN Gastroenteric® Canine Formula EN Gastroenteric® Canine Formula | Purina Veterinary Diets

She was doing great with being on the Vet food for about a month and then i put her on half vet food and half Evo red meat formula. Once the vet food ran out i figured shed already adjusted to the Evo, but the next day, straight diarrhea once again. I then went back to the Vet food, and i am now considering Orijen Large Breed Puppy/Acana/TOTW/Blue Buffalo Wilderness Duck/Raw Food Diet.

My thought process is that maybe the Evo Formula was too much for her to handle.

I do not mind paying the extra prices being reasonable, i want whats best for her, shes my Pride & Joy. Any feedback is highly appreciated as i am looking to buy everything by weeks end, maybe someone on here has faced a similar situation.

i feed Acana Wild Prairie. i had Odin on taste of the wild, but i noticed his skin was getting bad on it. TotW is made by Diamond who has had several recalls as of late. i think its also worth noting that evo is now owned by Proctor and Gamble and u will see their quality decrease as they try to increase profits. Purina is garbage like i said in the other post, and im willing to bet the only thing makin ur girls poop better is the rice stopping her up. also something to point out, the "pit bull" is not a large breed dog. breed standard has them between 40-65lbs and their body mass is not as large as the dogs in the large breed category.

Thank you for your input. I have read the part about the large breed before as well, so for future reference, what labeling should I look for with acana/proven concerning puppies, I have not seen any labels for medium sized dogs.

to my knowledge Acana is an all life stages/ all breed food. their regional formulas are grain free and made with the local fresh ingredients. if u do look into a feed that specifies, i think i seen some that specify bulldogs. but if it doesnt say large breed or small bites im sure its fine.

Try adding probiotics or bovine colostrum. This should help with the "sensative" stomach.
Acana is an amazing food, I have my chihuahua on it and she is doing very well.
Red meat tends to be richer then poultry and fish. Also, if your puppy is having issues with food changes try changing slower.
