HELP!My pups eyes are swolen & I don't know why

About an hour ago I heard a yelp but I thought it was my neighbors dog, then 5 mins later my brother calls me to go see my pup,Socks, her eyes were swolen and barely open and had a weird reddish color around both her eyes,I put water in her eyes, she can still see and hear and eat but I don't know why they're swolen,I think my neighbor sprayed her with pepper spray or mace(My neighbors are drunks who shoot randomly outside and are always high or drunk)

not the best photo but I just wanna know if there is anything I can do to lower the swelling

keep flushing them if you suspect mace. You should be able to feel the burn if that is what it is , any odor ? It takes alot to get that stuff out of your eyes and face and can burn for awhile. Keep an eye on her, anywhere near the face you want to make sure she has no breathing issues as it can burn the airpipes as well and cause swelling there as well. offer her some water.

I would not leave her unattended from now on anywhere where the neighbors can access her , Id have sent some visitors over there if it was my dog but I know that don't always solve things either lol { sure is fun to get revenge though}..

Are you sure there is no way she got bit by something , have you looked her over. I would just be concerned it is not an allergic reaction to something. For now though just keep an eye on her and continue to flush her eyes and face.

I have no idea how her eyes got swolen but I've flushed her eyes out 3 times already and the swelling went down a little.

if it was pepper spray, you would know it because the residue would irritate your eyes and skin, maybe your throat.
i think angelbaby may be correct. maybe the yelp came from something biting or stinging her. and the swelling is an allergic reaction.
i would give her a little benedryl just in case. but also keep flushing her eyes. use sterile saline if you can (the cheap stuff for contact lenses).
keep an eye on her breathing. if it becomes heavy or labored, she needs to see the vet asap.

Awe your poor baby. That is terrible if your neighbors did something to her. Hopefully it was not and was just an act in nature. Did the swelling go down more? Did you flush them more with water.
