Sick puppies

Ok so I have two 8 week old pups who just got dewormed and their first shots. . One pup wouldn't eat or drink at all the following day and then started to eat and drink the next. Its been three days since the vaccinations and Now and the other pup stopped eating And drinking and the first one stopped eating again. They both are vomiting. I haven't seen them poop yet but I'm sure they have diarrhea too. I've been giving them pedialyte And sugar water through an oral syringe. They both are always sleeping and are starting to get really skinny. I called the vet and he told us it was normal and just wait it out. I'm worried that if I wait it out the pups will starve to death! Is it really normal for pups to get sick like this? Is there anything else I can do? And has anyone experienced this too?

Your vet is an idiot! Sometime in a new home, at first they will not eat. But it shouldn't last for days or to the point where they are loosing weight. Take them in and have them checked for parvo or another disease......try feeding them from your hand. Try breaking up treats and putting a little in their food.

Agreed the vet might not be the best one..... I would get them checked out by another vet just to be safe. Puppies can get really sick fast!
