dog food ?'s

I was wondering if anyone was feeding thier dogs these foods and what thiere experiances have been. Pinnacle Peak Protein Formula or Innova Dry Puppy Food. I know i am not feeding the best food right now as we were going through a rough time nothing like ol roy or beneful. I was looking into these foods as they are high in protein and low or no bad grains and def no by-products. thanks for any info you all have.

Those 2 that you mention are both 5 stars on the dog food analysis site, so I am going to say that either one is an excellent choice.

How would I decide between the 2?... Cost, I would get the one that has the cheaper price tag.

I haven't fed either one, but I'm about to switch my boy to the Innova, so I can give you some info on experiences like in a month or so

I bought puppy supplies for Indi this weekend, and that's what I bought, Innova. I almost bought Royal Canin, because of the high protein content, but I hadn't researched it so I went with Innova. Not to mention I don't like petsmart. I'd rather support Kelton's the place where I bought the Innova. Very nice people and nice store, they had three dogs roaming around that you could play ball with.

The Royal Canin did have good content, impressive packing an a large assortment of formulas, but I really don't know much about it.

What's the website for the dog food rating?

Innova was a NO GO with my pup.I am now using chicken soup for puppy. It's 5 star food just like the one you listed. It is by diamond but cant be to bad to get the ratings. Its less then 30 a bag compaired to the 60 Innova cost me. But I know I didnt pick out of your two I was fueling off nest post on cheapest.

i almost went with innova becuase it looked like a great food to buy but it is a bit pricey. as far as pinnacle, i talked to a dog nutritian about it not too long ago and thats alol he was talking about. it looks pretty good and he gave me a sample bag. kenya would eat it but it made her poop kinda stinky. its more expensive then innova tho, i would go with that if its between the two.

yea that is one reason i liked the pinnacle was the high protien amount which i thought would help promote really good muscle growth in my lab and athena. I am making a flirt pole this weekend to help with good muscle building and to wear them out a little bit lol. The innova is a good food also. Just not as high in protein. Any thoughts on my theries.

It's a 5 star, however, I will not give my business to Diamond, because of the bad stuff they did.

I don't understand the cost being so high... I called my feed store, and they quoted me $43 for a 33 lb. bag of the Innova Adult Food (green bag).

For puppies the protein content is good enough. When your dog gets bigger and you want high protein, then go with the 6 star rating foods like Orijen and/or Innova Evo, those are like 42% protein, but it's mainly recommended for a highly, and I mean highly, active dog.

Good thing she is, because when you get her into police work, she would be a prime example of what I mean as being a "highly active" dog

Active as in you compete in weight pulling, agility, dock jumping, Shutzhund (personal protection), and/or have your dog walking/running minimum 5 miles a day, etc.

I don't mean active as in walking your dog or playing fetch for a little while, I'm referring to some serious working your dog.

alright i get ya on that. I may walk about 2 miles then running and playing with toys at home and the dogs at the park. I think maybe with addition of lots of time on the pole and that i would think i would call that pretty active in my mind.
