It may take a bit longer, especially being on a not so good food. Id first think about changing your food, it may not be the leading factor but it may cause the runs for a few more days than a better food would. Keep his diet regular and give it a bit more. It took my pup atleast 2 weeks after changing food before his poop was back to normal.

He may just not be doing well on that food. Has he been vaccinated for diseases like Parvo? That could be a concern as well.

Provided he's not ill and doesn't have worms...maybe he just has some allergies.
Max went months with loose stools, sometimes they were projectile and watery...until i got him on Taste Of The Wild.
He has some wheat allergies....and it took about three days on that food and he was "cured"...lol.
I swear, i never thought i'd find something that would give him solid poop...but it works.
Its expensive but worth it.

I never give my dogs canned food as they always get loose stools and bad gas from it.
Plus canned food sticks to the teeth and causes plaque build up and bad breath.

it may well be the meds but you say you have him off them for a week so im thinking it may be the quality of food your giving him..i went through the same thing with the loose stools until i found a quality food that my boy likes.....
for the loose stool you can give him some over the counter medicine like immodium ad or something like that and if it continues for more than 3 days i would take him to the vet........

Zoe had a problem with her stools when we first got her. We found out she had some kind of stomach bug(don't remember the name). They gave antibotics and told me to give her pepcid ac to calm her stomach. It work for us.

I would take him off the wet food first and see if that helpsclear up the runny stools. If it doesn't you could cook him up brown rice and boil hamburger or chicken and give him that if the stool clears up you know that the food is the problem. You can then talk to a vet and do research to find a food that will work for you. Maybe stick with a rice formula.

Reading the previous replies maybe you should take in count that if he took some antibiotics to his infecction it will be helping the presentation of runny stools to, so if you took those off already, I will use just the dry food, or a light food for a week some like beef and rice, and then get back to the dry food only, if the runny stools persist you must take him to the vet, maybe he is allergic,or got parasites, or got some parvo, remember that your dog can get diseases even being vaccinated when he is a puppy, so never is too much to take him to the vet to be sure he isnīt on any harmful situation. I hope he get better soon, is really sad for a careful owner to see a puppy ill.
