my lil guy is 5 months old and full of life he runs around and jumps and plays w/anything and anyone but i noticed a little minor red scratch or rash right by his penis??? should i be alarmed or is tht normal for a playful pup maybe getting into something?

he probably got scratched by something when he was playing. he will probably be fine and it will heal in just a few days. if it is a superfical skin scrach if you want you could clean it and put neosporin on it but chances are he will just lick it off. he should be fine though.

no problem : ) it should heal if it gets worse or red then i would worry and take him to the vet but it sounds like he will heal in no time! chances are too he doesnt even know he has a "boo-boo"

Puppies play rough. Pit bull puppies especially...your pup is going to get minor and major "owies" from time to time. If it appears deep and infected I might seek the opinion of a vet, but otherwise it's normal and something that will eventually clear up on it's own.

When my boy got about 4-5 months old, he got a red rush about the penis area, he just licked it some times at the day and with the time it just disappear, don´t worry, it might be some scratch, give a look at it day by day just to see if it looks nicer or the same at the day before, if it gets bigger and bigger, get some kind of discharge or if your boy get some fever (more of 38,5-39 ºC and he will be playing and eating less for example) maybe it will be the time to take him to the vet, otherwise just relax it will pass. When I saw his first scratch I just freaked out, so I really aunderstand you lol!!
