my new rescue
Hey all thought I would introduce myself my name is jorgegio or jj to keep it simple. Not new to dogs or pits really. Tito is just the first I will be keeping for good. I got him from a friend that could no longer keep him due to a forced move to a city that labels pits as a vicious breed. He was at a farm till my friends uncle neglected him and Tito managed to run away for 3 weeks. Since then he has been in my care and is an amazing dog. He is about 2 years old now and has been in my care for nearly 3 months. I'm looking forward to learning from everyone here.

Thanks! He is a work in progress still. I cant wait till he is back to looking his best. His muscle structure is coming back nicely and now I just need to put some weight back on him.

I think his weight is just fine! You don't want a fat dog. I would just get him on a high quality food like Origen, arcana, or instinct. Or go Raw! And I would do some flirt pole with him and set up a spring pole and LOTS of walks! That will get him into fine shape

I guess I could be confusing weight with muscle. I just know I don't like being able to see his ribs and. Spine. In these pics you can't but others you can. Right now he is eating iams sporting 29\18 which I don't like, but rural Ia means a 2hr drive to get him quality food. So he is on that since it is what he's used to til I have a some extra money and time to take the drive and get him food.

I love dogs I grew up from birth with 3 great Danes, then we raised and bred Weimaraners. I have always had dogs around me and when my buddy asked me if I know anyone to take him I instantly said I would. He's a great guy and he just didn't want him in the pound and neither did I. I must say I don't regret it a bit. It was a bit rocky at first as he is a bit protective but once he realised I was now in charge and a friend he does not leave my side. Thanks all for the compliments!

Welcome to the site. Your dog is very good looking. Nice coloring and the eyes are pretty. Glad that you have gotten him. He will be your best friend for life. Enjoy your stay on here with us.
