Not just Lurking. :-)
Hey y'all. I'm a noob from Alabama. My hubby and I just got our first Blue Nose Baby Girl, Tika. She was my anniversary gift from him. ;-)
I've been wanting one for years now, but with the way our hours and vacations were, we weren't in a position to. So now he's retired and I'm fired. He was forced into disability retirement due to an on the job injury as a firefighter / paramedic, and I'm a casualty of government corruption from Jefferson County. Google it. It's not a pretty story.
Anyway, we now have our new baby (who is spoiled rotten already), and wouldn't undo the decision to have her for anything!! She'll be 6 weeks old tomorrow. The breeder told us she was 7wks old a week ago when we bought her, but her birth date (and Vet eval) puts her at 6 now.
I just want y'all to know that we are grateful for this site, and all of the furnished information, because we are having to teach her to socialize, and all of the other good baby training stuff.

I would venture to say that the ” breeder” not only lied about the pups age, but her nose looks distinctly black to me. regardless, I am sure you are happy with her and congrats on your new addition

@ Carriana.. I thought the same thing, but her dad has the blue nose and the blue coat, and her mom has the fawn coat?? As you said though, Yes.... irregardless we are happy with her and bonding very well. She's spoiled rotten already. ;-)

The sire may have had a blue coat and nose, but that doesn't make your pup a blue nose because blue nose is not a type. Your pup is only a blue nose if she has a blue nose so unless the pictures are oversaturated, that nose is black. It's literally just a description of the physical color of a particular dog's nose. It's an incredibly common misconception about the bulldog type breeds.

Welcome to the pack and I hope you enjoy your stay on our yard. Beautiful little girl there, and sad to say it, sounds like you got her from a back yard breeder if the selling point was that she's a blue nose, which was pointed out by Carrie to be false. Glad that you love her for who she is and not what she is though, and that you're open-minded enough to learn and not argue about it like some people we see come through the gates here.
