When I got Riley I had to drive out of town to get him and my female Meeka didn't get to met him before I brought him home. I have been taking the meeting between them slow because Meeka can get tempermental with other dogs. She did live with another dog before but the other dog passed away 3 years ago. Well I have them in the same room with one another but one is always in the kennel, and they seem pretty good. Meeka will even go up to the kennel and want to play. I have introduced them without any barriers however Meeka doesn't care for the way he plays. He will paw at her which she does not care for at all and went after him. She would have bit him had she not had her muzzle on. He didn't react to her at all, he just looked at her.
Just wondering if anyone else had had this problem, I really want them to be able to be around each other without barriers.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
