I'm a little to late :(
Guys forgive me for this being my first post. I really have nowhere else to turn so here it goes. I need help placing an 8 month old female dog. My father in law past away and my wife and her mother needed us. I mean she needed us to move in with her to survive. Our poor dog just is to much for the new change.
I'm so heart broken over this but I must do for my family now. I was not able to get help from a pitbull rescue as they are struggling to keep up with their own. I am not looking for any money but if it happens out of generosity that would be nice as i paid alot for her as a pup. Anyways she has papers I will locate. Her name is Miley she is 8 months old, she was my daughters birthday gift. She is about 52lbs now and by judging from her mom and dad and grandparents she will be good size.
She is a blue and white pit and knows the basics commands (sit, stay, shake, speak and off) but being a puppy she still test you. And is house broken. She was raised with a cat and a chihuahua and my 7 year old daughter. She is a house dog and thinks she is a lap dog.
I love this animal and I pray I can get her to a family who will love her and care for her as much as I did. Life's not fair, none of this was planned. I live in Missouri and am reaching out for help.

If you email Redog he may allow a posting in the Adoptabulls section. But if she is 8 months old she can easily adapt to a move. I am a bit confused about what you mean by "Our poor dog just is to much for the new change." Please explain what you mean? what else besides the roof over her head has changed?

Meaning the home of my mother in-law will not suffice a dog of her stature. And the yard is not a yard for a animal.
If this was just to move my animal then I would not even be here and I would have just placed her on CL and not care. Sorry as this is messing with emotions.

O ok, I have .08 acres, so basically no yard AT ALL. I just walk my dog daily and have a flirt pole and spring pole and a treadmill on the days it to snowy or rainy out. But to each their own, I just want you to understand a yard isn't the most important thing to a dog. Its his family, which is what you are to him. Good luck find a great home for her to go to, I just don't want you to feel bad for your girl if she has to stay with you and doesn't have a yard to hang out in, my dog doesn't have one and he is very well cared for if I do say so myself.

I would rather give you the tools to make it work in your new situation. There is no better place for your dog than with you. No tellin how the dog would end up...prolly dead. Post pics and a ped and we'll see what happens. I know how emotional this is but you have to think with your head, not your heart. Your dog is depending on you to make good decisions.
Good luck and let us know if there's any other options you might want to try, all's not lost

So sad I live in Missouri as well. What city do you live in? Is the house just to small or is it too much for your mother in law to handle?

No yard....kinda small for all of us which makes it hard for her.
I'm in Lees Summit and I'm not sure how to post pics on here.
