How can I access the working dog forum. I am really interested in learning more about that side of this breed we care so much to preserve. And I also love the look of your dogs. My father and grandfather used to tell me stories of the dogs of old. Thank you.

For sure, I wouldn't just throw a dog into that situation not knowing how it could handle itself. I'd definitely go with someone who does that and had dogs that know what to do. My cousin who hunts hogs in Hollister here told me he always brings a sidearm because you never know what's going to happen. I'd do the same thing with anything involving my dog, better to be prepared not worth putting the dog at any extra risk. If I end up getting one of the pups from the linebaugh x Lynn litter lee was telling me about I think I might get into it with that maybe after working boar with my cousin or something. I dont know if you check their website or Facebook much but that female lil hurtin' of those two dogs seems to be turning into quite the little catch dog... Saw some videos of her on her first couple hunts. Not all pups turn out the same but there's definitely some potential there.

Hey FH, just wondering if its possible to gain access to the working dog section. Saw some of your posts about coyote huntin and figured you probably have some pictures in there, never been coyote hunting with a dog just pigs, but some of your posts about it in the "game testing" thread got me interested. Thanks -david

Thanks, yeah one that fits in with the family is the most important, as well as one that won't tear my amstaff to shreds lol. Lee said for the most part his dogs get along great as long as its eith the opposite sex. Hopefully we'll be out of the apartment situation soon, luckily were close to the American river so we just take luna on some walks there everyday and let her swim a bit and that wears her out for the most part. Another reason I like his dogs so much is that they look like some awesome catch dogs, ive got a cousin not too far from us that hunts hogs with APBTs and Catahoulas. If the dog does good with some small hogs in the pen and some controlled situations first I wouldn't mind taking it along for a few hunts... Actually have a dog with a purpose for once lol. So long as my dog doesn't get torn up by a hog, ive seen that before and it ain't pretty

Thanks for the advice, I've got one crate at the moment, ill need to get another one anyways as the other dog should outgrow luna by quite a bit. If you don't mind me asking, what does that say about the dog by the kids playing with it more? Just that it's more social or outgoing than the rest of the puppies? Im just curious... I told Lee everything I was looking for and I trust him to match me with a good fit.
