Training advice

How many times a day should I train my dog I work long periods I start early finish late soon as I wake up I train her for 20 mins then when I get home another 20 mins is that enough. Also because its very hot here in aus ATM I just went to train her and all she wanted to do was lay in the shade any thoughts on that?

2 20 minute a day is great. Most only do one.
What is your training consist of?
Depending on what it is could be why so exhausted after...
Most dogs do get a bit tired after training bc you are working the body and mind .. That takes a toll on the body
But I would say your doing great by working your dog

If the pup plays with toys. Get a favorite tug type toy. And play ever so often while training. That helps for Bordem so the pup wasn't to stay with you and what you are working on. This you is only given to pup while training so they are excited

's Geisthexe.....

Don't use treats for training, use the racket ball and praise I agree 2 X 20minutes is good enough to keep an active dog, and in HEAT not to be messed with. As you go you will go more and so will the dog.. Walking/Running, Swimming, Jumping, fetch games, climbing games and digging games Swimming and digging are the most beneficial by far.
Do what you can to stay active and fit but useless over kill is just that

Ok let's take a step back ..
In morning
- train before feeding her
- does she play tug? If so get a tug toy and only use for training
- use treats to start new commands on every command (meaning sit is her first time doing it when you say sit she does treat her)
- using treats for known commands, now she only gets a treat for every other command (meaning sit good girl moving her sit good girl & treat)
- Praise by voice & touch should always be used for all correct commands

If this does not make sense please feel free to say .. I'll be happy to give you my number and explain
