My other dogs I had at my parents chewed chair legs. We used bitter apple spray. Got at petsmart.

Sour Apple, but I would worry about the next thing he will start to chew (wires, floor boards, etc) and get a crate until he is able to be trusted alone. My friend just had surgery to remove the couch cushion from her pooches belly. Not fun and very expensive. Puppy teeth, I know you must have a lot of chew toys, but do you have a marrow bone from the butcher? My boy really loved his when he was teething.

Someone told me to use a mixture of cayenne pepper and water. It didn't work for Buddha, he seemed to actually like it but you may have better luck

There is really nothing wrong with crating a dog as an adult. Our 2 year old is crated when we're not home, and has no problem with it. She will never be left out when we're not there, we can't trust the 2 dogs together alone.
She goes right to her crate if anyone starts putting shoes or jacket on, she is very smart.

When I bought my Aussie pup Lancelot I was recommended bitter cherry spray from pet land. I bought it and that darn dog would gag and hack and cough until he chewed off all of the taste and then continue chewing harder but it never stopped him. Slowed down a little but it wasn't a solution!
