How crazy, childless people spend Christmas Eve...
they entertain themselves with the dog, of course.

no, just Odin. Mom wasnt thrilled with me when i got Odin to begin with and then when i told her about fostering Boss, she went off on me about "responsibility of 2 dogs" and ect..... basically im lucky Odin is allowed over. its not a pit bull thing. its a dog thing in general lol

My mom was never really a dog person, although we always had one. But she is a super OCD clean freak, so she was never totally into the dogs. Until she got older, and I got older, and me being an only child pretty much made it clear that the only "grandchildren" she would ever see would be of the four footed, furry variety...she came around.
Actually she has V. 4 days/week when I am at work and she loves that dog more than she loves me (quite serious by the way!)

My parents couldn't believe I got Cain-mainly because "two dogs are expensive." My dad isn't a big indoor dog person. He has an outside coonhound but if you look out the corner of your eye you can always catch him playing with Cain lol. My mom adores him.
We got the dogs a couple presents. Sheba tried to play while it was still wrapped and Cain ha his unwrapped in seconds! Lol

my dad isnt a huge fan of Odin, even though he doesnt say it, i can tell. but like i said, mom is coming around slowly. i figured i wouldnt press it with Boss since he is just a foster.
but back to the original post. awesome idea, wrapping presents like that for her to unwrap! i will have to try that next year!

This video was AWESOME!
I have kids, but I still make sure there is at least one or two things for Ecko to unwrap. He runs around the living room trying to help everyone else if I don't give him his first. LOL!
Lauren, your parents suck. My mom EXPECTS her grandson at Christmas Eve, and buys him a present too.

Well, I'm happy to know that there are other people who don't think we're completely nutsy!
I've always gotten a kick out of giving the dogs presents for Christmas; because really, how much fun is it to watch grown ups opening presents...
and my dogs have always seemed to fully understand and enjoy the process!
