Many times pits will get along with other dogs till one day they don't. An electric collar on someone who does not know how to use one is the worst advice ever!! Also if you correct a dog for dog aggression with an E collar, that dog could think it was the other dog and attack them. An E collar in the hands of most people who have no clue how to use them is the worst thing you can do. Your dog might get along for ever with your other dog or 5-6 years down the line try to kill your dog.... It happens more than you think and to tell people these dogs can be trained not to be dog aggressive is just irresponsible.

Unhappy

yea i can tell they are definately playing. blue and jane play calmy at first then just escalates. even today he was playing with my siusters chi that hes met n played with several times always having to be seperated when chis had her fill and today he attacked her. so i have made up my mind im not prepared to have to crate and rotate that is just not my idea of being apart of the family and that is what jane is. I have had concerns about this beautiful little boy from the get go and i wish i would have just trusted my first instinct but i am a sap for pitties and wanted to help. i will never do this is the future.really heartbreaking honestly but i guess we are just a one dog home and i will make sure this puppy goes to a good home whom i will be able to keep in contact with. thank you for all the advice the nicely put and more harsher ones guess its just what i need to hear

Shock or e collars have their place is used correctly sadly many people do not use them correctly and I agree they can be cruel. I'm sorry it didn't work for you and I respect the fact you do not want to crate and rotate. Your decision to rehome him is a good one if you are not willing or have the resources to crate and rotate. I respect that because I know you will find a good home for him. On the off chance you want to try to crate and rotate and want some help on what it really means then please contact me by phone or email and I would be more than happy to help. I deal with a lot of clients who end up having to separate dogs and really it can be very simple and still fulfilling for the dogs. I also want to say to our GP members, do not criticize her decision for placing the dog. Multiple dogs and having to keep them separate is just not want some people would like to do. She is being responsible and will make sure he gets a good home and in the end that's what really matters. when i started my pup of 8 months in agility and rally, she wanted to eat all the little dogs- my wise trainer turned me on to a book called CONTROL UNLEASHED- you can g it online from cleanrun.com. specifically, we started doing counter conditioning and at the end of the session, she competed with the little dogs w/out a problem- she now lives with pug and does dog parks- can't say enough about this method

ive done some research on crate and rotate but I have two little boys 5 & 2 1/2 and they can be mischevious and curious and I dont feel comfortable with the off chance one of them were to let a dog out. I am completely dedicated to making sure blue gets a loving responsible forever home. im a picky person and I plan on staying in his life even if its not full time. I love this little guy bit I also love jane amd my boys and I think itd be better for everyone. this hass been a very hard but imo I feel its best

There is a wild turkey that will go in their backyard and actually play with Molly. It is so cute. I actually have a video of that as well: AMAZING Pit Bull and Turkey - YouTube
Have you tried an electric collar to correct with?

My dogs play exactly like that! Sounding like they're killing each other but really just hopping on each other and then separating like nothing happened.

My pit played with a Guinea hen who was dumb enough to get into her dog run... Didn't turn out too well for the Guinea! LMAO

I have a 16 month old blue girl and a 8 month old blue fawn boy. They both play rough with each other and she has a high prey drive. They are never out with each other alone and they get along great! They play and when it gets too rough or "active" I make them lay and stay until I release them. I am not in agreement with the fact that this breed is not a pack breed. ALL dogs are pack animals. I am also not in agreement that this breed cant play org et along with other dogs. My brother is a breeder and has 4 pit bulls. They all are out with each other most of the time (unless he is not home) and they all get along, play and sleep together. Never had a fight. I also crate my dogs together and have never had any issue!

No one said they CAN'T play or get along with other dogs. My boy loves our heeler mix and she him but they do not like other dogs. With each other it is fine and they are always supervised. But other dogs are a no go because they are aggressive toward them. There are exceptions. APBT are likely to be DA. I got into the breed expecting it. I am always prepared for my two to not get along one day and we have to do what is necessary. Crating them together IMO is a bad idea. Because you don't know what is going to happen when you are not around. I've heard stories of fights breaking out when owners aren't home and the dogs were crated together. IMO that's an accident waiting to happen.

I have 2 pit bulls, a male and female. They play rough at times and are high energy (him more than her but he is also younger). I leave them together in the back yard when I am gone. They are sometimes created together. They sleep together in my room un crated at night. I dont necessarily agree that if you have more than 1 ABPT then you will never be able to let them play, interact, etc. My brother breeds and has 4 now. They have never been NOT allowed to interact or play with each other. Some are crated together, etc. I feel like they should be monitored. Signs should be noticed. They should be WELL trained and allowed to enjoy each other! I do know that sometimes this doesnt work but I know of WAAAAYYY more cases personally that this does work in !

As stated above when you commented, no one said they can't. It's recommended you only let them when supervised so you can monitor. And again, I recommend getting your dogs their own crates. It's safer, and would probably make them a bit happier having more room to lay in than having to share. I would NEVER crate 2 dogs together regardless of the breed.
