This is going to be great to see.

How are you going about conditioning him?

we are what we do repeatedly. excellence is then not an act, but a habit. - Aristotle

Exercise: I walk him for about 45 minutes a day with an extra 15 minutes or so of running, as well as letting him play with a spring pole. I'm going to get a flirt pole soon too.
As far as food and diet goes I'm gonna switch him to better quality food.

Are you just going to start exercising him to be better fit pet or are you conditioning him for a performance event? Do you have a set program? Do you have a target weight? If so what is it? Regardless what the structure is or the event you're striving towards I'm glad you're excising your dog.

I'm conditioning for his health, he got a little heavy over the winter. I don't plan on taking him to any events any time soon though. I don't have a set program per say, though I do have a rough plan I suppose, I know a couple guys who run kennels (not BYB but actually well taken care of yards) who give me tips online. I don't have a set target weight, I'm currently going off his appearance as a guideline. I prefer dogs to be conditioned during the spring and summer and then at chain weight during the fall and winter.
Thanks, a well exercised dog is a healthy dog.

So I got him weighed yesterday, turns out that my home scale isn't accurate and weighs heavy.

He is looking good! Keep it up! He sure is a handsome pup!

All scales will vary depending how they are calibrated and what kind they are, they key is to use the same exact scale week after week and it doesn't really matter what the actual number displays, but the same one will properly track the weight loss and not give false positive results.
