Spring Pole Help!

So I made a spring pole today. Not too sure if I assembled it with all the pieces in the correct order, but I'll get to that in a minute. I currently have it set up in my basement in a room that I built that's big enough to accommodate the dog pulling and swinging. The floor is not completed yet I am putting large soft rubber mats in this area. I can't use it outdoors because I don't have a tree that can sustain her weight. They're all small trees. Anyway I just brought her downstairs to see if she would be interested in it and I attached her favorite rope toy and she does not seem too interested in it. She will jump and tug for a few seconds and when she lets go the tension from the spring will make a loud noise and I think it's freaking her out. Is there anyway I can entice her to start using it? When I am playing tug with her by hand, she pulls me around like I'm a ragdoll but now that it's attached to a fixed contraption hanging from the ceiling rafter, I think it's deterring her away especially when she hears that noise. I will attach a photo of what I made and in the correct order in which I have everything assembled. Any help is appreciated as always. Thanks
From top to bottom: eyelet, swivel hook, quick link, spring, carabiner, rope toy

The only way I get my boy to use it is that I have a punching pag hanging near it and when I work the bag he goes at the rope hope that helps but that's the only way I get him doing it

Spring Pole Help!

Thanks for the response. I got a bag down there too but it's nowhere near the spring pole so it doesn't do me any good that way but some people said to pretend like I'm holding the toy so she'll go after it. I'm getting some used pieces of fire hose tomorrow so I'm going to see with a different technique and different toy. Tried the flirt pole too that's a definite no so I'm hoping I can get her to take on the spring pole

Try enticing them with different lures. Lots of dogs go crazy for animal hide.

Similar idea to BC's hide.
When I was getting Ecko to use the flirt pole I tied a pig ear to the end of it. He'll do anything for food. After a few days with the pig ear I switched it to a toy. He still chased it.

He will go for a pigs ear if I tie it to the back bumper of my car and drive to CA. LOL! He's very food motivated.
The pig ear won't last long on the spring pole because they get soggy with slobber quickly. But it's a good way to get started.

I tied a fire hose to the carabiner and this is what she's doing so far. Only for a few seconds and then looks at it

Do you make any encouraging noises when you play tug with her? If so, try that while she's nosing around it. Get her worked up and excited.

I do. When I tug by hand, I don't even have to make noises she just tugs and tugs and makes all the noise. If I took that fire hose off of her spring pole, she would just tug a it t and play but the second I hook it up to the pole, she kind of just noses at it and really doesn't partake. I've even tried pretending that I was holding it, and it doesn't work. She definitely shows interest in it but not to the point where she will lunge and start yanking.

If the noise of the spring snapping back is the issue you can try using different tensions of spring so that there is a little less give, or try putting fabric sleeves over the different parts to reduce the sound.
