Run him! Fetch is great... As for hanging once all his teeth are set just work with him till you can get him off the ground. It is just like any muscle it takes time and work. Don't over do it but keep at it. The more you play tug the stronger he will get.

Oh also... as long as you aren't doing anything ridiculous your not going to be straining him. If he looks tired let him rest.

How long after the adult teeth come in would you say they are set. Josey is 10 or 11 mo. old and the other day she just wouldn't let go of her Frizbee and my husband was tugging with her and then picked her off the ground and was swinging her around a few times til he started to get dizzy. Hope that was ok. Hubby is 70 in case you wondered why some young guy would get dizzy spinning a pit bull mix! ;-)

what do you mean by "hangs" from her mouth? what is she hanging on to? Like a spring pole off the ground?

I wouldn't suggest it, those are baby teeth and you might break a couple of teeth by doing that. I wouldn't suggest a dog "hanging" off the ground till 10 months old. JMO

Flirt poles, jogging, hand walks, spring pole.. All good way to work a 7 month old.

Everyone likes to HANG their dogs from the springpole. WHY? I mean I know it looks awsome and is incredible to watch but what kind of workout do you really get aside from working the jaws? Think of this.........LOWER your springpole so that your dogs back feet actually touch the ground. The front feet are about 6 -8 inches off the ground. Your dog will back against the spring, working its hindquarters. It will also "shrug" the rope, pulling down on it, working its shoulders!! LOWER your ropes!

Thats really good advice and if I ever decide to construct one I will make it that way, thanks.

And I always thought the spring pole was just to let your dog be a dog and have a good time working against that rope.

Thats how my dogs love it! Where they can touch the ground. They jump at and then just use those back legs pulling and pulling, really working the mid section and the front shoulders too!

Be very careful. The baby teeth can break and then you could have bigger problems. Just watch her she wont know when to stop herself so if she is starting to get real excited and her teeth are getting caught in the rope distract her towards another activity. Once she starts losing those baby teeth I wouldn't let her hang till the adults are in. Tugging will be sufficient substitute for the time being.

If you live where you can still swim you could take yor dog swimming this is great exercise for them and no strain on the joints.
