How much excerise?

hey i just wanted to make sure how much excerise is safe for a 6.5 month old pitbull. I usally take him for long walks and run him alot. Is it safe to run him alot at this age? I am also thinking of adding a spring pole and flirt pole to his workout. HOw much can i really run him as of now or should i wait for most of the excresies till he gets older? Is there any other excerises i can do for him at this age? Thanks for nay help

If it isn't forced running I would say as much as he wants to do. If you are throwing the ball or frisbee for him and he will run after it then keep playing. Now if you are on a bike and making him run..no I would say only 10 minutes of this forced running.

When you set-up the spring pole make sure his feet are on the ground this way he doesn't have to jump and hang and fall he could hurt himself.

At 6mos of age Vendetta was doing 1hr of fetch broken up to twice a day 30 min each time. A walk about 20 minutes and 2-3 hrs of playing with my other dogs out side.

i would not be running a dog under a year and a half old, talking 1 hour + or moderate running tho,

same for the spring pole, dogs jaws are not full developed yet and maybe not the best, hand walking will be more then fine and not to stressful on the body.

Petey is 6.5 months also and i usually walk him for 1-2 miles and 10-15 mins on the flirt pole(not letting him jump at all),if i dont do the flirt pole its fetch for 15-20 mins.He lets me know if hes done or not interested when hes tired too
