Dogs aren't body builders, mate. If he's got lean muscle and he's eating and exercising properly then there's no reason to add more weight for him to carry around. It's of no benefit to him to be bigger than he should be.

Try walking, treadmill, flirt pole like big cat toy on stick you whip around. Weight pulling any types of exercise really. Just dont push him too much or make it a job. Keep it fun. May also try better foods. Im starting mine on raw meat diet for lots of healthy reasons. GL

Dog looks good to me. He is already good size, so you want him ripped huh? Just be consistent with conditioning

Bear in mind genetics. Some dogs get ripped with relatively little conditioning and others will take a lot more training for relatively little visible change. They'll still be fitter and have a lot of stamina but they don't get that shredded look.

My big dog, Nitro is an example of the latter category while my little girl, Roxy belongs in the first category. They both get run at the same time and they do the same distance. Occasionally I'll take Nitro for an extra run on his own if I find some time but they are just different. You have to actually look hard at him to notice much difference but Roxy just shapes right up almost immediately.

You can also get weighted vest from Stillwater Kennel Supply for limited exercise to help tone up some.

Are you talking about the dog in your avatar? Feed him less and you'll have much better results.

I agree on the genetics, OSO does nothing but is very ripped looking in his rear, and can jump six foot like it's not there. Which isn't funny when it comes to staying in a fence

INDIGO COULDN'T have said it better... he is obviously a bully breed & he is supposed to be big so if you do the work it might work out for you... (i doubt it, but you can atleast prolong his life by giving him a decent workout here and there)..
