When feeding raw, never feed leaner meat in an effort to drop weight off your dog. Fat is needed for energy. If you take the skin off chicken or remove fat from beef cuts your dog's body will break down muscle tissue to provide the energy for activity. I have seen some people do this and you can see the dog looks like skeletor even though it's being worked and fed.

Thanks for the excercise comment- I will up it somemore then lol.
I'll incorporate warm up time into it. I just walked him for about 10 mins before workouts. I'll keep an eye on it and can use that as a judging point
Good Idea I can walk Dooney four miles in this weather before he starts to show signs of burning calories. Then it is off to light drag sled or Flirt pole. Water break and more work.

And skinned chicken
Doesn't neccessarily mean fat free. You need fat-good fat. I know this. But with a consistent work out regimen and more protein less fat and carbs works well in burning fat. You need a healthy balance among them. If I'm wrong- someone correct me. I'm all up for ideas.

My new toy is a tred mill. Kera, nilla and dora have taken right to it but king bella and tonka are like I need more time to get used to this, so in the hour it would take outside on the bike they actully work out more inside because its warm! but dang I still have run tonka king bella :-/

Probably better idea to run dogs on a mill in the winter. Seeing as how the warmer the better for burning the calories.

Ok, I can show up with 5 or 6 in shape cuz I have no life other than the dogs..lmao

That and with a realllllyyy good schedule you can get them all worked by staggering their rest days..lol so really you might be working 3 or 4 while 1 or 2 are resting..lol Not to mention the older ones will sprint the mill for as long as you let them so I can flirt pole another one outside..lol

OK.. you are wrong and I will correct you.
Dogs do not need carbs for energy nor can they process them as well as fats and oils. Fats burn longer and cleaner than any carb and are assimilated quickly while it takes several hours before carbs are even digested. Here are 2 more reasons to use fat instead of carbs: One gram of fat supplies 2.4 times the energy of one gram of protein or carbohydrates. Fat also serves as a metabolic source of water, so a hard working dog is less likely to get dehydrated when fed a diet higher in fat.

The diet you describe is fine for a human bodybuilder, not a dog on a raw diet. You wont get your dog in the shape you want if you keep pushing carbs through him and limiting fat. That's why you are having trouble getting the weight off him and asking about different exercises when you should be heeding my advice on a proper raw diet.

I think I know a little bit of what I am talking about.

So how do you feed or what types of meat and how much?
