You should wait. Take your dogs on walks and jogs but don't over-do it.
Your dog is too young. Teenagers aren't supposed to be training until they are 16 or above (or so) so imagine yourself starting to train at 9 years old. You'll either remain short or you will wreck a few bones.

Puppies can be started on a flirt pole as soon as they can run. It builds drive and starts work for an out command.

To much pulling can cause breaking of teeth and or loosing teeth before they are ready. I have heard of Spring poles and toys similar helping to correct a bad bite ( not by much) but not causing one.

However being as it is a flirt pole there should be more chase than pulling. The puppy does need to catch it as a reward, but then should be outted to continue. Make sure not to do moves that can make the puppy jump or turn to sharp as that is where you will see injury.

We didn't use the flirt pole until Cain was older. But it's good you're getting your kid training. That will teach the pup to respect him and not get away with stuff with him. Flirt poles are fun just don't want to start it too much since its a young pup. For now I would just do walks and play with regular toys you have like ropes balls etc.

agreed; thats the reason for the fishin pole and the kid.when she caught it he knew it's time to bac off and if she pulled the pole wood giv.

i had an old surf rod for fishing in the garage. used that with rope attached and tied at the end with two toys at different lengths. one rope and one tennis ball about 1 1/2 feet apart from each other. so cheap to make. i have also used a broom stick before lol almost anything works. once she catches it i let her enjoy her catch for a minute then she releases and we start over ;D

just becareful, if she's having to jump for it,
remember, thats what killed 'honeybunch'

but i agree as soon as they can, you can play with them, your developin reflexes.

puppy teeth i wouldnt worry to much about, they're comin out anyway, but
when the adult teeth come in be careful when they come out, they dont come back
