Post-Workout Rituals

iv recently increased my boys workload and noticed he tends to get a bit stiff, i make a point of warming him up before and cooling him down after his workout as well as adding some electrolytes to his water.

I was just wondering if anyone has post-workout rituals/ routines for their dogs to prevent stiffness, improve muscle recovery or any other tricks of the trade?

I'm really no expert on this topic, but I don't think you should be working a dog that young out until he's sore. He's still growing and if you don't know what you're doing you'll cause some damage. I could be wrong, but I wouldn't risk it.
