Question running a pup

At what age can I start jogging with my pup and what is a safe distance I dont want to push to hard bc she's only 4 mnths I just want to get her use to stayin by my side while running.

Depends on how fast and for how long. Typically its recommended 18 months for hard core workouts. So it really depends on how hard a workout you are trying to do.

Not hard at all real lite jog nothing to serious I jogged lightly for a lil over a 1/4 mile she stayed a lil behind but beside me after I stopped she actually wanted to keep going but I leashed her and made her walk bc I didnt know if it was bad but im not trying to do anythin serious just trying to get her through the motions should I stop or keep at the same pace and distance

sounds like you are on the right path! they sure can go and go and go. My boy LOVEs to run, I put him on a treadmill cause I sure as hell can not run as fast as him. I do not let him go more than an hour, or 10 miles. I let him decide to go faster or slower by reading his body and knowing how he is. I am sure your dog will also start to show you. What you are doing seems great. I didn't know if you were meaning a few miles that young and what not right away. totally something to build up too

I agree with ames. You don't want to do anything that's going to strain em. I don't think they should be sore or anything the next day.. Just keep it light and more like play time than a work out.

My Mr. Momo is almost 6 months old, how long can I jog him for at about a 10min/mile pace? Im guessing around a mile to start, am I on the right track?
