Also, you need to find a vet that is well versed in cropping. You don't want your pup to have a Great Dane or Doberman crop. You need to ask to see portfolios of their work (much like you would an artist when you're looking to get a tattoo, if you're into that sort of thing). Some vets are very good at it, and don't charge an outrageous amount for crop plus post op care and posting, if necessary. The style crop you choose will often determine the amount of posting, especially as they go through the teething stage. But, I'm with surfer and think they look great how they are. I'm not anti-crop, either, as I've had dogs with cropped ears.
