Cropping Ears Advice

My (almost) 4 month old is currently off to the Vet to get her ears cropped (2/3) and I am hoping some of you who are experienced can give me the best advice for home care afterwards. What should I purchase now, so come home coming she is comfortable and in less pain. (the clinic provides cone and medication)

We are taking her to St.Louis Vet Clinic in Oakland which is one of the best places in the Bay Area and is highly recommended by everyone we have spoken too. The YELP reviews do the Clinic no justice so I want to be prepared to help my little Noriega to the fullest once she gets home tomorrow morning.

Also, is it normal for facilities to keep your dog over night for observation? This place does, just hoping they take care of her like we would *tear*
