Ears suitable for crop?

Sent from Petguide.com Free App

My puppy is 10 weeks old but she has this funky ear that flops over her head I'm afraid that the crop won't turn out good! Please tell me what you think! http://

There you go. Super cute. You should consult a vet with cropping experience and they should be able to tell you whether your pup would be a good crop candidate.

I like a good crop, but I think your dog's ears are freaking adorable!

I know that if you were planning on keeping her eats you could glue them till the cartilage is set. My boys ears did funny things when he was about 12 weeks old. I glued them when he was 15 weeks old and left the glue of for a week and the have stayed how I glued them.

I know that for the longer crops on Danes and Dobes they tape them to a frame after the stitches have come out.

When I was looking up gluing a read a lot on Boxer, Dane and Dobe sites and forums. They had a lot of information about crops too.

When pups are teething the ears can go wonky. Not saying its a guarantee but they could "correct" and there is a thread for how to tape natural ears in the health section. It's YOUR choice not anyone else's. But since you asked I say keep 'em I love wonky ears...

We have a good vet out here in Guam that does amazing crops just didn't know if that ear would look funky. We will go to the vet and get a look over but if they are gonna turn out funky I will choose not to do them. We have two pit bulls our other girl doesn't have them cropped but personally I like the cropped look. Thank you all for your input!

I love those ears! Like Ames said, while they are teething they do funky things but honestly I think the pup looks cute just like that! I wouldn't crop

She is adorable! IMO, with a good crop her ears will stand nicely. It's ultimately your decision, of course, but don't wait too late trying to decide! Also keep in mind, if you really want to crop, do it because if you don't you may end up regretting it. Just please be sure to find an experienced vet to do the job!

There is only two vets out here in guam that do crops wise owl and malakooti. wise owl does very nice crops! I think we are going to go ahead with it because I know that I would regret not getting them done. The vet won't even do them until after her third puppy shot which is coming up quick and till she's ten pounds but she is already past 10 pounds. Thank you for lookin
