Hello GottilineOtto,

If your not going to breed her the best way to take care of her is to have her spayed. There is really nothing you need to do special for her, she will take care of herself including licking up any blood spots that she sees. I would keep her off any carpeting you have and try to have her stay on tile or wood floors that can be spot cleaned as she drips.
Keep her on a tight leash so there is no chance of her wondering the neighborhood or having a surprise visit from another dog.

Welcome!

I encourage everyone thinking of spaying or neutering their young dog to do some research first. There has been several studies done that link many orthopedic problems (among others) with surgery performed before maturity.

Here's a good article IMO.

I would get her a diaper! You can use boys underware and stick the tail through the hole. And then put a panty liner or pad on the inside of the underware.

You don't really need to do anything special for her, except keep her indoors and on a leash so that you dot have a "surprise" pregnancy. it's nice to see that you're asking rather than leaving it all to chance.

For every article stating the risks of pre-menstral spaying/neutering, there's a bakers dozen of articles stating the contrary. There is no clear consensus at the end of the day.

OP don't let "literature", which almost ALWAYS has bias and motive by being written, deter you from spaying your female and having an accidental litter.

I spayed my female around 6-7 months just before her first heat/cycle. By choice.

I spayed Xena right at 6 months and I've always regretted it, I honestly think it's had a lot to do with her incontinence. But I have an intact male dog and it seemed easier at the time to just spay her and then there was no chance of her getting pregnant. Up to the OP if you can wait and keep her away from male dogs personally I would wait but if you can't then better to spay now.
