My neighbor has puppies that will be 4 weeks old this Sunday I am getting one but I was wondering if 5 weeks is to young they keep the pups outside and they are walking everywhere and will get in road soon I want to go ahead and get one when they are 5 weeks if they are eating food good and they have Been eating food for a week now is it ok to get one if I live this close to the mother dog because I can take the puppy over for some bonding/learning time from mom anytime

5 weeks is to young for a puppy to be taken away, even if they are not feeding from mom anymore. I did get my girl at a real early age because they already had her excluded by herself for being "mean" to the other pups, but normally I would never want to take a pup that young.

Taking a pup that early can create temperament issues down the road. Pups should stay with their mom until at least 8 weeks in order to learn valuable lessons on play and correction. I believe it was you who was getting a brother-sister inbred pup? You could be already taking a chance on some issues by doing that alone, I personally wouldn't add to it by removing the pup early.
