How to determine if a dog is worth breeding?

I have a 13 month APBT. I use the term loosely, as I understand she has some Amstaff in her ped. She is a UKC conformation champion, and we will begin weight pull training when I receive her harness from Missy. We are waiting on OFA preliminary results for hips and elbows.
All that being said, how do I determine if she is the foundation that I want to build my kennel around. Would it be worth putting the time and money into her with her scattered ped, for stud fees etc? Or to find a better ped to begin with from a more well known kennel or line?
I have so much time and money invested already, but I would be willing to start over if that would be the best thing to do. Any advice would be helpful.

Well post her ped if you can it sounds like you have done a great job with her and I don't see why she can't be bred. I'd have to see the ped for me to determine if I would breed her. There are TONS of UKC APBTs (usually Amstaff with a tad of APBT) that are very successful in the show world. In the end it's truly up to you and I doubt anyone would harp on you for breeding her to another UKC dog with similar blood -- just my thoughts

Breed for a purpose. If you plan on showing your dogs in the UKC circuit you are in the right direction already,

Having a CH, from a predominant bloodline is average these days (humbly), make a GrCh out of her, and if she performs how you want on the track, then its worth a try to use her as a foundation, maybe for now, maybe forever.. but you have to see what she produces to go from there....

IMHO,, Make it about you, and her,, not about bloodlines. If she continues to perform then youll blaze a new trail and then folks will come to you :}
Good Luck
Cheers!

Awesome feedback. Thank you. I'll try to get her ped up when I get home.

if you have a good dog and your mission is to improve the breed (not peddle pups) then you are on the right track imo.
