Update on my boy pocho

My boy is now 4 months old. The sweetest dog you'll meet. Getting bigger by the day. Just have a question, is it normal for pups to pee when he gets greeted by unfamiliar people? He isnt scared he actually gets very playful with the people.

Yep. Excitement peeing is totally normal. Dogs usually grow out of it, and making a big deal of the peeing only makes the problem worse. I had my oldest girl greet people outside the front door so at least the dribbles weren't on the rug.

Cute pup!

Cute pup, thanks for sharing. And as stated, excitement peeing is normal. Not all pups get it, most of the ones that do out grow it unless you have a dog like my wife's old dachshund, that from pup to old age just had to pee upon greeting anyone.

Welcome to the forum! Your boy Pocho sure is a handsome young pup. Love how proud he looks in that third picture. X's 3 on the excitement pee, not unusual.

what a great looking pup! Hopefully when they grow a bit and the bladder gets bigger he will stop. Puppies kind of release a excitement when people see them they sometimes squeal and get all high pitched and happy and cant wait to go say hi to the pup! so the pup feeds off that and just cant contain themselves lol So another thing to try and to have people come in and greet you and ignore the dog. Then once the dog calms down a bit they can greet the dog, calmly. But puppies that little and cute are wicked hard to not get excited about meeting lol Good luck!
