Important questions?

Always wanted a 2 dog home, and somehow know how to have 2 APBT however the gf has ruled out that possibility and wants a smaller dog for our girls to be more with. Zeus is a bit too much sometimes as he is a very high energy dog, and even when I tire him he will just recharge in 30 minutes of laying down. The smaller dog that was decided upon was the Miniature Schnauzer. Does anyone here have the combo?

I've read it could be a great team however; The forums of people who have that combo only have a rescue dog. Zeus's mom snapped at 9 months and is DA and so is his father but only with new dogs. Zeus's mom has to be muzzled when mating with the stud..yea yikes. Would I have to keep them crated when unsupervised with the rotation, and feed separate?

Am I setting myself up for a disaster?

Final question, should I get a break stick (Although I fear is Zeus snaps there will be little hope for the poor Mini Schnauzer)?

To be honest, it doesn't really matter what breed you get, as long as you're prepared for them potentially not getting along and having to be separated 24/7. Especially considering your dogs parents are DA, he may be later on. Now, there are many DA dogs that produce dog-friendly dogs, but it does up the chances of DA offspring.

So to answer your questions, yes, they should absolutely be separate at all times when you aren't supervising, and maybe even when you are if they don't get along later on. Yes, you should buy a break stick. I think that's something every bulldog owner should have just in case. And no, it won't be a disaster if you're adequately prepared and understand the potential outcome.

Yeah just always keep separate when not supervised and when eating. take them for walks together as that will help. But always be prepared for one of them to decide they don't like the other.
