Questions about hiring a Pet Sitter ASAP

Have to go out of state for a few days by plane so we cannot take our 1yr old Apbt with us.

It will be my first time leaving him with anyone. Unfortunately I do not have any close family/friends that I would trust so that's not an option.

The other thing is while he's a good dog and loves all people, he can be kinda high drive at times, still get over aroused in certain situations, and well every now and then just act like a complete ass lol. For those reasons especially I would rather someone who has experience with the breed who can try to work his mind and tire him out some when they do their visits, preferably someone with trainer exp would be a plus. The last thing I need is someone saying he jumped/mouthed at them aggressively when all it was him being an adolescent big puppy getting too worked up or demanding and them not knowing how to handle him. He doesn't do it often but every once in a while he has his moments!

So I have a couple recommendations from my group classes and trainers and was thinking of having a few come to the house for a trial to see how it goes and which meshes best with him. Was thinking 3 times a day for 45 min each visit would be sufficient.

So my questions are:

-Is there anything I should be asking the pet sitters specifically when I meet with them?

-What kind of activities can I expect or ask them to do with my dog? The things that tire him out most are flirt pole, fetch, hide/find treats, obedience/tricks, are these reasonable to ask them to do when they visit?

-Would prefer a daily text/update on how he's doing, maybe even photo/video?

Rather not board if we can find someone referred that we can trust so any one with experiences or feedback would be so great! This is an unexpected trip so have to find one asap!

I have hired people to come stay in my house with my dog. I usually just drive to where I am going so I can bring him so I'm not anxious and stressed the whole time.

I would just find out where your friends go. I also found a place I paid someone to come three times a day for 30 minutes over a weekend. It wasn't bad I felt bad for my boy being alone all the time but less stress than being boarded, since he didn't need to be crated anymore at home.

They took my dog for a walk and if it was too hot they played a little and just hung outside for the half hour. They fetched and worked on the training I had listed that he did. I got pictures daily for the week I was gone but none were required. It was just nice to get updates.

Do your own due diligence. Just had a case in my city where someone thought the pet service vetted their employees but it doesn't appear to be the case. Dog was left alone and abused. http://m.patriotledger.com/news/2016...ions-in-quincy
