Any tips for when puppy enters the fear stage?

When my pup hit 7 months he became a huge jerk. Barking more, not listening, being overly aggressive towards stranger people and dogs, his leash manners disappeared, he forgot house training, and he's more destructive. I am assuming he is going though the fear stage. Is there anything I should or should not be doing to help him get through this stage and help me too? lol!

Welcome to the teenage years. Consistency is key. Just stay consistent, don’t let him get away with acting like a jerk or misbehaving and it will eventually pass. Just like kids. My only suggestion for you is a drink! lol

Agreed, a sharp eye to see reactions in ears and facial expressions helps to break focus before they move forward. I like to either snap a finger or make a sutble shh noise to draw attention my way then have them sit and reassure them they are doing the right thing by remaining relaxed and stay there til I'm ready to go forward and either allow a meeting or be cautious in the event of a negative result which happens from time to time. But beyond that a drink and a treat for them later and it'll be all good
