Question HELP!!! Old dog having potty problems

Ok so my Mom owns Marley's sister Gretta. They turn 10 in a few months. Lately she has been peeing a little bit in her sleep. Not like a whole bunch just a tiny little spot. She has her own doggy door so she can go in and out to potty as she pleases but the thing is she had no idea she's doing it. My Mom puts a blanket on the end of her bed where she sleeps and in the morning it will be a little wet spot under her. My Mom will kick her off the bed and tell her no but she just looks super sad like she didn't even know she did it. She just had a vet check up a few days ago and they said she was in good health and no urinary infections so I have no clue what's up. Any one know what we can do?

It happens to older dogs. My moms dog is on a Med called Proin. It has worked for her.

sounds like an old age thing creepin up on her. humans are that way too. when we start to get older not everything works how it should, muscles aren't as strong or as tight as they were. like older ladies peein a little when they laugh dogs can have incontinence issues too, and is usually worse if they had litters, but all the same you can't really tell a dog to do keagals...there are meds that can help, or just put doggy diapers on at night. its not that she is being naughty or that she has started peeing in the house, her bladder muscles just aren't doin what they're supposed to

Yea that's what we were talking about last night she can't really help it. My mom said she's gunna buy her those diapers for night time cause it sucks to have to wash blankets ever morning. I'll have her talk to to vet about meds and hope they can help. Thanks for the replies

It could be old age or it could be a simple UTI, I'd take her in for an old girls check up
