In memory of my Pit Ceasar :(

hey guys,
my pit ceasar passed away coz of parvo disease last week, at the age of 6 months
i'm posting this so that everyone who have puppies till the age of 6 should be very careful. the main reason behind ceasar's death was that he was given the vaccination prior to its time by the breeder, and he wasnt given the third vaccination at the age of 18 months which is the mistake of his current vet who forgot to mention that he needed one although he was going there regularly for checkup. for all of you out there, be careful, vaccination is a serious issue so that you secure that your pet wont have any virus, and if he did, his immune system will be strong enough to fight it.
ceasar died in 2 days, so sudden and shocking, but cant do anth about it

Dude. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I understand how you feel and so do many others. I'm sure he must have been a great companion and loving friend.
Hearing your story makes us appreciate our dogs more.

RIP Caesar- you will never be forgotten!

Very very sorry for your loss, I think alot of people mistake thinking if there dogs are vaccinated that it makes them immune. Any dog can get this aweful illness even adults who have been fully vaccinated, Infact I have been hearing alot about dogs passing from this and not responding to vet treatment like they normally do. This is like any other virus it eventually changes and new strains come out. great reason for people to be aware , keep your dog away from high traffic areas { other dogs squirells raccoons can spread this} Great reason to clean your dogs paws after going for walks, taking shoes off at the doors, and keeping the floors and kennels very clean. Even with doing everything right it can always still go wrong though. I went through this with a litter recently and its not fun at all , Im very sorry your little one didnt make it. If your vet hasnt gone over how to properly clean your home after having parvo let us know we can help you out with some info, dont bring another dog into the home until its been cleaned though. R.I.P Ceasar

Thank you sooo much guys, its good to know that there are people who really understand how hard it is to lose a loving and affectionate companion as a dog or any pet. most of my friends here didn't take it seriously and couldnt understand why i was that upset and depressed the past week!!
angel, i would really be grateful for any advice you may give me regarding cleaning my house and my backyard. since he had the virus, he's been in the house and the backyard, vomited in couple of places in and out. i believe all my clothes and my shoes and my whole house, even the bedroom has traces of parvo. and i read that it lasts for a long time also, but how can i clean all this. i dont care for the clothes, i will throw them away, thats not an issue and i will clean or spray my shoes, but what about the rest of the house. i need to make sure that i dont have parvo anymore coz honestly i cant bare the heartache once more if my new puppy got infected and died as well.
any advice will be highly appreciated!!
thanks again guys

the clothes just wash , if it can go in the washer wash it . { just stuff he came in contact with it isnt in the air its on surfaces} . Best solution is 1 part bleach to 30 parts water { although i was overkill and did like 1:15 ratio lol, was a bit OCD about it} if you have hard wood or laminent spray the floors let it sit a few minutes and wipe down , carpets can usually be sprayed as well although if you have colored carpet may want to test it first in a closet of something. do the same to the couches { we had leather so made it easier} and spray down your yard . after this wait 24 hours and then redo it all again. Make sure to get any kennels, bathtubs if he was bathed anywhere the pup was in contact.
there are some other info in these threads if you havent seen them yet ,
