A dog sitting indoors should not be panting unless it's overheating. This dog is panting and licking it's lips and being held tight against it's collar by the owner. It looks like a dog in a bit of stress to me. Owner didn't recognize the signs and neither did the anchor.
I too saw a nervous reaction here. The whites of his eyes are visible, he's panting, and nervously licking his jowls, that screams nervousness to me. I saw the signs soon as the video started playing. * In the second video, at the beginning, you can see the dog moving away, and as she goes to kneel down, he turns with an almost unnoticeable warning.. he flinched when she touched him, and spun his head around towards her, startled.* Unfortunately, for the news anchor, most people in general aren't savvy in reading a dog's body language, but the signs were there for sure. Glad the dog is going home though. Too bad, this won't teach the general public anything other than Dogos are like APBTs and "vicious" and will turn on you.
