Is this Enough exercise for an Apbt... Pics attached

She is abt to be 2 years old on august 9th there is an old horse pasture down where i bought her from.. yes it was a byb but the dogs bred accidently. Anyway she is very healthy according to the vet. She is a solid 40-50 pounds.
The horse pasture is located in an empty lot 0.47 miles from my house. I walk her down there and i let her loose in the pasture which is smaller then a football field for about an hour and throw the kong n let her chase it then i walk her home. The people moved out and took the horses that once occupied the pasture. There is noone around the pasture is alone with just a trailer that they lived in. Is that enough exercise a day for her. my parents also put her on a 50 ft trolley at my house for sometimes 4 to 5 hours while im at school heres some pics of her down at the pasture just the other day

THERE IS NO DALMATION IN HER there are no dalmations for miles around people always ask if shes a dalmtion so i thought id let you know the mother was a registered apbt and so was the father but they wont registered with the same registry so the litter couldnt be registered

http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/...=1&new_route=1 heres a link to my walking route to the pasture its o.88 miles there and back just follow the red line and you will see the pasture just zoom in the 4 wood boxes are where the 4 dogs were thats when the mother was living.

She is fine weight for a house pet. Dogs don't need to be kept "conditioned" if they are just pets. I wouldn't let her get any heavier and it wouldn't hurt if she lost 2-4 pounds, but shes fine.

For when you come back from your ban.

Because a vet says your dog is in a good weight, doesn't mean they are. It's the reason why I've switched vets often, several have told me they'd like to see 20lbs more on my dogs. I like my current vets (one for regular check ups and such, one for emergencies) and they like my dogs how they are. One wanted a few more pounds on them at first, but after I mentioned they're exercised a lot they though it was fine. (They were concerned it was just due to under feeding, I can understand having low expectations for the public)

For a pet dog I would say she's okay but I'd like 'em to be thinner personally.

There is also no SET standard for how much exercise is enough or too much. Each dog is different , look to your dog for signs they are done. Mine will just lay down and stop bringing me the ball or will sit with there mouth open panting. Go with your dogs body language. Too little exercise your going to be seeing more energy ,bouncing around all the time, destructive behaviour ect. Id cut down the weight on her 5-10lbs but that's just me , If your happy with it then fine she is a pet so its fine for that, id prefer to turn that into a bit more muscle and toning.

hey, some like em big how often do some of us hear (your dogs too skinny)
its all personal preference. when we speak of pets

youre doing good for your dog just by actually walking and playing and running. You dont need a conditioned dog, vets' opinions differ, try another one for a contrasting opinion if you want. but I guess youd need to spend a few extra bucks than your bottom dollar vet to do that.
Feed is important, even a cup of Sh!t is still ...well.. you know

and dalmations dont need registered I kid I kid... seriously though (why are you still trying to prove yourself and defend what you do, or what you have?) If you care that much about being a know it all

and that people here put the truth down on you and you get mad and defensive about a dern Mix Mutt dog, then go hang out at the vet.

look into flirt pole and if you have the area for a swim in shallow creek water or farm pond., and start running yourself or do whats called "handwalking" get you a "tracking lead" which is about 12-18ft and let your dog go fast enough your at the back 2ft of the rope or lead; your dog is perfect for a house dog but could use to be more fit. The marks are called "ticking" and actually the origins of the first dalmation are "unknown" but its very clear it was an APBT of that era without a home and called the station with the big red truck and big hearted men. So to begin with there are no dalmation traits other than a white dog with tick marks; more to it than that. You have a great lil bulldog .. step it up, a spayed female retains weight usually, and follow a good diet if shes your only dog give her the BEST.. and you'll like the results.

Sadly, I don't think this girl will be back, lol. She should've been listed as a Junior Member (child), as apparently she is a child. But it's all in the past now.
